Go Wild
for a While

The Outdoor Adventure Club is an affiliated member of SportUNE. Club activities include climbing, bushwalking, camping, caving, kayaking, slacklining, and social BBQs.

Welcome to the UNE Outdoor Adventure Club!

UNEOAC has a long-standing history, dating back to its formation in 1960 as the UNE Mountaineering Club. Over the years, our club has evolved and expanded its activities, leading to our current name, the UNE Outdoor Adventure Club (UNEOAC). Today, we offer a wide range of exhilarating experiences for outdoor enthusiasts like you.

Our club activities have spanned various disciplines, including hang gliding, mountain biking, orienteering, ski-touring, bushwalking, hiking, camping, climbing, caving, canoeing, kayaking, and canyoning. While our current focus lies in bushwalking, climbing, caving, kayaking, and camping, we are open to organising other events based on member interest.

With rugged gorge country and the extensive National Parks surrounding the New England Tablelands right on our doorstep, our club has the ideal playground. Details of club trips, events, and activities are posted on our Facebook page. While Club Members can access our private Facebook group to connect with each other, share suggestions and advice, and discuss club plans.

How do I join the club?
People of any experience level are welcome and encouraged to join in on club activities. If you want to participate in the UNEOAC events and activities, go to the UNE Life Club page to become a UNEOAC member.

The climbing wall is also available to SportUNE members and the general public on public climbing nights.
